and you're looking at my uncensored story about how I made my first beats. I have to admit that making a beat has never been my strong area, but, as it turned out, I now enjoy making music. I would never thought that before. The only thing you have to be aware of is that it requires some memory on the computer. But that's usually just the problem of old computers or computers with very limited memory. In this case you may need to adjust some settings to enable quicker processing of the data.

Things I expected from a beat generator program, among others, were:
1. I knew, that for a video production, I needed a music maker software with which I could make any modern genre of music. With DUB turbo I can make hiphop, house, jungle, modern music, short smples for trailers, etc.
2. Another important issue for me was to make my own beats easily. I didn't want a long learning curve to be able to make my own music.

3. The quality of my own beats has to be OK!
Unfortunately with music making programs I worked with before, this wasn't the case. Most online beat making programs actually use .mp3 for their samples. That means the user is making beats with a second generation compressed sounds. That ceratinly isn't appropriate for video production (nor for almost anything else, I'd say …)
4. Hundreds of $ spent on extra equipment for a beat generator
With Dub turbo I didn't need anything else. It can be used on PC or MAC and I can also make beats online. Although I have to admit that it works much faster on my machine, but that is something to understand, because they use high quality samples.

Pay attention to cost effective and good quality beat generator.
Because I have had a bad experience with beat making programs I bought several years ago, I didn't want to buy expensive beat generator. To be honest, I wasn't completely sure if it will bring me what it promises and if I'll be able to use it for my video production.
